WoW Devs' MMO PvP Fantasy Romp, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery, Hits Early Access

At just over $35 AUD, Notorious Studios, which is made up of a handful of ex-World of Warcraft devs, has dropped its debut title Legacy: Steel & Sorcery. The game, which is a mashup of MMO and PvP rules and setting, drops players into a "truly open, instanced world" where they can play alone or with up to two others for a team of three to plunder the world before them via classes such as Warrior and Rogue. Beware, though, other players are also in the world and your sweet, sweet loot is also something they're after - enter the PvP side of things.

Obviously the WoW similarities, particularly visually, are there, but we're also reminded to consider titles such as Dark and Darker and Escape from Tarkov for comparison as well, just to give you an idea of what lies in wait here. 

The ambitious next step for lovers of the MMO and RPG genres alike, this fantasy Extraction title sees players choose from a line-up of fantasy classes and dive weapons drawn into the monster-infested world "Legacy" has created. Each session is a truly open, instanced world, where precious spoils could lie around every corner. But, so too could fanged monsters guarding their hordes, or other players ready to steal the hard-earned treasure of others.
