Next Stop: Lovecraft Country - RailGods of Hysterra Coming to Early Access in May

What could be more fitting for horror than cramming a Lovecraftian world into confined carriage spaces on a moving train? Not much else, we suspect...

Come May 7, fans of cosmic terror, base-building and pure survival will be able to board a train to all of those things and more when RailGods of Hysterra rocks Early Access on Steam. More importantly, is that you won't need to board this train to madness alone, with the game also sporting a robust co-op mode for you and up to four others.

To accompany news of the game's EA release date, developer Troglobytes Games has also dropped a brand new cinematic trailer you can watch below:

The premise of waking as one of a handful of prepared survivors with a plan to take on the Great Old Ones in order to not only vanquish them, but become their equal with your own eldritch powers is kind of ambitious for a so-called Lovecraftian, but one we can wholly get behind. The hope is that we're not forced to play with others and that playing solo is also a viable option, but the idea that we're aboard a train that is both alive and upgradable was, honestly, more than enough to rope us into this potential gem.

No word yet on how long the tea plans to have the game living in Early Access but it will launch with multiple language options including English, French, German, Russian, Spanish (Spain and Portuguese), Brazilian, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Italian, Polish and Turkish tells us the team has put a lot into the game already.

Stay tuned for more as we have it, and be sure to have a look through our assets carousel for the game below.
