Today in News you Never Expected - Assassin's Creed: Shadows x Attack on Titan is a Thing...

Oh, and don't get us wrong - we're HERE FOR IT!

We mean, we live, work and breathe nerdism here at 3PB but we can't ever recall saying amongst ourselves: "Assassin's Creed needs more Titans". In isolation, it *could* make sense; Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and its Greek and mythological roots 'could' call for those titans -- such as Chronos in Hades II, but no one here ever truly wondered... 'does Naoe need more of a challenge? Should she, you know, face a Titan from Attack on Titan to see just how far she's come in her training?'.

Well, we didn't, but someone at Ubisoft certainly did, and the fruits of their "What If?" are in the trailer below:

It might be worth pointing out that if you're behind on Attack on Titan at all, this might be the crossover-you-never-knew-you-needed-you-now-know-you-need-to-avoid... at least until you catch up.

Anyways, here's the official skinny:

A strange encounter draws Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows. Guided by the strangely-garbed woman named Ada, they venture deep into enigmatic Crystal Cave to rescue her friend from a mysterious cult. As strange experiments unfold and a monstrous enemy emerge, the duo must rely on their instincts to survive a threat unlike any they've faced before. All payers having unlocked Yasuke as a playabke character can access this event for free, by heading to the NE of Yamashiro where they will be able to find the Quest Giver...

In addition to the above, a new story is also part of the update, with completion of both rewarding players with unique gear and the like. Also, who doesn't want to roam AC's Shadow world in Survey Corps gear?
