The Third "Tales of" Remaster Set for Early 2026
Boy, the years are just flowing by faster and faster. The "Tales of" series from Bandai Namco are among some of our favourites here, with the brilliant (and very, very long) GameCube classic, Tales of Symphonia the key catalyst for our internal fandom. But really, they've all been very good.
Akin to long running JRPGs like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and, more recently, the likes of Monster Hunter, this series has always had a certain cadence, expectation and presentation. The latest in the "Tales of Remastered Project" comes by way of Tales of Berseria which first appeared on PS3 back in 2016 and is now set for re-release (and remaster) on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S. Check out the trailer below:
February 27 is when you want to set your watches for what is described as a:
"Fan favourite entry in the Tales of series that introduced players to Velvet Crowe, a wooman whose life is shattered by betrayal. In this remastered edition playeres will once again explore a world torn between emotion and reason, where Velvet and her comrades slash through anyone and anything in their path as they navigate a world of emotional bonds and betrayal..."
This entry is often described and remembered as one of the more emotional, personal and intimate entries in the series, and so if you're keen be aware -- it's a 'talkie'.
