Another hand-crafted 2D gaming experience that taps into a twisted world driven by ancient folklore is coming

Weappy Studios' hand-drawn 2D platformer, The Eternal Life of Goldman, which turned more than a few heads at this year's Gamescom, is being wrapped by the developer and is currently slated for a "Coming Soon" release date, which is a pretty popular one with many studios.

It can't be too far off though, as noise around the game remains steady with THQ Nordic today sharing a video of a full demo playthrough from what punters were able to play on the Gamescom showfloor. And it's a genuiely stunning and intriguing game that digs deep into folklore and "nightmare-material" for its overall aesthetic.

The Eternal Life of Goldman is a vibrant yet dark adventure that weaves together legends, fairy tales and myths. It takes the genre at an unusual angle and offers something unexpected at every turn.

You arrive at the Archipelago on a strange mission: to kill the Deity, a mystical creature that everyone talks about, but no one has seen. To find the Deity, you will have to delve deep into the many secrets these islands keep. You will discover a place marked by tragedy and filled with eccentric characters and remarkable contrasts.

Upgrade your cane with new parts and unlock new abilities, to explore the hidden corners of the Archipelago and face incredible creatures.
