Going to PAX Aus? Maybe Check Out Red Bull Gameball Royale

Red light, green light... BLUE SHELL! What will Red Bull Gameball Royale actually serve up at PAX Aus?

Red Bull Gameball Royale is a gamified spin on what we refer to in Australia as "Poison Ball" but what is more commonly known as "Dodgeball" elsewhere. Yeah, we just do it differently here, global visitors. Plus, everything in Australia is poisonous, right?

Anywho...

Red Bull Gameball Royale will be played across the duration of PAX Aus in 2024 with four teams, each captained by a high-profile content creator with the likes of IAMFALLFROMGRACE, Loserfruit, Muselk and Lachaln Power leading teams against one another (natch), for the ultimate of prizes -- bragging rights (common amongst influencer types, we imagine). What makes this game unique is that as in videogames, teams and combatants vie for powerups, such as revives and extra balls, among others, which is determined by a combination of skill(?) and a court with LED lights that also helps throw both help, or dismay, at each team. The scenarios, if handled with poise, could be quite the spectacle.

For what it's worth, we at 3rd-Phase Boss are all in on team "The Untouchaballs" led by iamfallfromgrace, one, because she rules and two, because it's a cool team name and three... just ballcause.

If you're heading to PAX across the weekend, you're completely able to attend this shindig live, if not, watch at home via each team captain's respectively linked (above) streaming channels. In addition to the above:

Friday and Sunday show days will offer attendees a chance to experience the action for themselves with public games available throughout the day and show matches from the Australian Dodgeball Federation, while Saturday afternoon will host the epic Main Event, starting at 2pm, in front of a live audience and broadcast to the world.

Having already had a successful outing in Germany, Red Bull Gameball Royale threatens to be a maintsay, so maybe hone your skills in the lead-up to next year in the hopes that you can also land on one of the CC teams or, even lead one yourself.
