Nivalis Nights Release Date Trailer - Live a Complete Cyberpunk Life in this Genre Mash with Few Rules

If you never played Cloudpunk from IONLANDS, you might have missed something special (so, please, grab it off Steam, PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop or Xbox Marketplace right now!). It was a depth-of-field-laden neon dream built on voxel-based bricks and principles where you commanded a flying delivery vehicle through a high-rise city and its rain-soaked rooftops. Its art was amazing, its soundtrack beautiful and its writing simply top-tier.

Now, that same studio is ready to unleash its next cyberpunk adventure in the freshly-retitled Nivalis Nights, this time a first-person open-world something where you essentially live, prosper and rise... as far away from the flood-struck foundations of the city as you can.

We're waxing a bit, so here, let the trailer do the talking:

Set in the same game-universe as Cloudpunk, Nivalis Nights now looks to be taking the best bits from the likes of Dredge, Dave the Diver and open-world gaming with no limits to allow you to essentially live in the world, and we're so here for that it's crazy. Cloudpunk's only limitations were driving and being on foot taking in conversations and finding collectibles, but it invoked the imagination in crazy ways and made us want to be one with its world -- something Nivalis Nights -- formerly just Nivalis -- is looking to do.

The trailer is also the first firm release date for the game with September 29, 2026 being when we'll be running a ramen restaurant, fishing and finding love in this intricately-detailed world.

Initially only on Steam, we are expecting this to find its way to consoles at some point down the track, but boy is it worth a Wishlist now and, as mentioned above, please jump into Cloudpunk if you never have, it is divine. Oh, and check out a host of screens in our carousel below.
