It's a Festivus Miracle - The Update You Never Saw Coming for Cyberpunk 2077

After promising no one at CD Projekt RED was working on Cyberpunk 2077 after its last major update, some elf on a shelf somewhere has been chipping away to deliver, we guess, one last, last update. And right in time for Festivus...

Four years ago to the day, Cyberpunk 2077 dropped in one of the biggest, most talked-about releases of all time -- good, bad and everything in between. Now, after being told around this time last year that the game would no longer be supported with dev work or updates, CD Projekt RED has teased new information on an incoming update, 2.2, to be revealed via its REDStreams broadcast across Twitch and for the first time ever, simultaneously on its YouTube channel.

There's no other details beyond the fact we have to tune in, though GR points out that it definitely won't feature PS5 Pro support or the hopeful inclusion of a NG+.

Whatever this surprise update and drop is, though, we're here for it. And this writer intends to remove Phantom Liberty from the shame pile over the Holiday break, so hopefully whatever this is, enhances that experience even more. Stay tuned for details on what this exciting announcement has in store!
