Hades II Physical Editions Now Available for Nintendo Switch 2

The power of the Crossroads, available now from brick and mortar cauldrons...

Nintendo Australia has announced that the physical release of one of the year's best games, Hades II, is now available across the country. Hades II is also available on PC but no other console outside of Switch or Switch 2 to play under your TV, lest you're Steam Decking.

While physical releases are becoming rarer and rarer, fans of this game and series, and its developer, Supergiant Games, might want to pony up as you get a reversible cover, an art book and a download code for the game's soundtrack featuring four-ish hours of original music from the game. And while this is technically the "Hades II: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition", using the game cartridge in your OG Switch is still fine, you just won't get all the Switch 2 bells and whistles.

In case you missed it, we reviewed Hades II across both platforms, but more predominantly Switch 2, writing that:

"Hades II is a pure joy to unravel. It is beautifully paced and never for a moment feels repetitive, despite its rogue-ish nature, which is a testament to the design at play here. Where character growth from a strength perspective is always taking place, like Hades before it, it's the world around Melinoe that truly characterises your progress in the game and feels rewardingly neverending..."

If you never played the orignal, it is also available to grab from the Nintendo eShop and is equally a joy to play on both the Switch and Switch 2. And with both games and their very, very lengthy and forever rewarding narratives, you could be in store for something to carry your through the upcoming holidays with just these alone.
