Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Announced, Watch the Reveal Trailer!

A new kind of warfare awaits this coming October!

Activision has officially unveiled this year's Call of Duty which is being handled by series creator Infinity Ward and is a direct sequel to its Call of Duty: Modern Warfare titles, coming in as the official fourth entry.

Check out the reveal trailer below.

As you can see, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is set to star a South Korean lead for the first time in the franchise's history as North Korea launches a full-scale attack, destabilising the Korean Peninsula. Private Park is a young South Korean soldier "facing live combat for the first time", when he and his squad are thrust into the thick of the North's offensive. The conflict will be a darker turn for the series also, while Captain Price returns as he wages a one-man war against all comers out to get him.

Activision and Infinity Ward promises us Modern Warfare 4 will feature "trench warfare in Korea, close-quarters combat in New York, high octane chases through Paris, SAS night raids in Mumbai and city-wide assaults to reclaim occupied territory".

In addition to the traditional campaign, multiplayer this time around will be a "grounded, precise" experience where fluidity on the battlefield is key. DMZ mode is also coming where players are deployed behind enemy lines as an "off-the-book" operative fighting against numerous assets with various objectives. This is sounding already like a more open and free-form Call of Duty experience and actually has us pretty excited to learn more.

Stay tuned for more as we have it, and check out even more details from the reveal right here. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will launch on October 23 for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. Check out a batch of fresh screen in our carousel below.
