The Simple Gesture Prime is Giving Spider-Noir that is Already a Fan-Favourite

The fluidity of pop-culture's staunch love of the past, while embracing the now and the future never ceases to amaze...

Plenty of games do it now, but we're also seeing a positive shift in its use in modern TV and cinema -- black and white, colour or... why not both?

In the case of Prime's upcoming Nicholas Cage-thwip-dream-come-true (sp/int), the studios involved more than read the room, they outright knew what they were doing from the start, meaning this event-based spin-off that has become a fan-favoutite will see light of day in both a Black & White option as well as True-Hue Full Colour. Before we get to brass tacks, here's a taste of what's been rumblin' on the beat:

Oh, and (True-Hue) full colour disclosure...

So yeah, there's a new Spidey in town and he's (willing to get) pissed.

Welcome to most Spider-Fans' dream -- the ultimate Spider-Man fan in Nic Cage, playing the part he was born to play (and which he also already has a bit in the Into the Spider-Verse flicks, albeit in animated form), in a stylised and high-production environment. If we're being honest, the trailers above don't truly sell the noir side of things, but we also get that noir hasn't been cool for some time, but we are very excited for what's seemingly in store.

Alongside Cage, we can also look forward to the likes of Lamorne Morris of Fargo fame, Babylon's Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez from The Hunting Wives, Slow HorsesAbraham Popoola, Brendan Gleeson of the The Banshees of Inisherin and Boardwalk Empire's Jack Huston. Prime has also revealed a number of guest stars set to walk the beat of this new (old) Spidey's 1930s-set New York where he is the city's only superhero... for now.

In addition to the above, check out a handful of assets directly from Prime in our carousel below. Spider-Noir is set to air on Prime in streaming form from May 27 this year.
