GTAV Console Enhancements Finally Coming to PC Via a Free Update

The PCMR is set to gain all of the best stuff console players have had for awhile, but as with most things like this, we know it'll likely be better on PC

Sometimes the poor PC players of the world need to hold out for what console players get either out of the gate, or well and truly first. It can be a frustrating affair for the desktop players, but sometimes the patience required with the platform comes good and the world rights itself, as is the case this coming March 4 when Grand Theft Auto V's console enhancements make their way to PC via a free upgrade.

If you own the game outright on PC you'll get everything listed below and will also be able to copy across your Story Mode and Online Progress thanks to a one-time Character Migration flow, as this free update is essentially a new version of the game.

Here's the list:

  • Enjoy a range of new vehicles and upgrades at Hao's Special Works (HSW) that push automotive performance to new heights, and test your driving skills with Premium Test Rides, HSW Races and HSW Time Trials.
  • Encounter Ambient Animals all across Southern San Andreas and take pictures of them to participate in the daily Wildlife Photography Challenge for new rewards.
  • PC players can sign up for GTA+ Membership to get special benefits in the upgraded version of GTA Online and beyond.
  • Track your criminal movements across all of GTA Online's updates with the Career Progress feature as you buiold your empire.
  • Navogate a refreshed Landing Page as your starting destination to get straight into the action. Plus, take advantage of an improved introductory flow for newer players with a GTA$4,000,000 windfall to buy property, vehicles and other items as you start off as an Executuve, Gunrunner, Nightclub Owner or Bike in the Career Builder.

Rockstar has also said that this upgraded version of the game on PC also "features all our recent player experience improvements for GTA Online" which includes Kernel-based anti-cheat protections as well as proactive voice chat moderation.

Have a gawk at a number of fresh PC screens in our carousel below.
