All New Cult of the Lamb DLC Coming this August, Brings Local Co-Op
As part of the Summer Game Fest err... festivities, each publisher and developer takes part in the week-ish long event, some branching off on their own with their own showcases and others forming part of Geoff Keighley's consortium. Whichever way it goes though, we get a massive week of game reveals and updates, without an E or a 3 attached.
At this year's Devolver Digital Showcase, the punk rock publisher kicked things off with a reveal from local lads, Massive Monster, that the mega-popular Cult of the Lamb would be getting a new DLC titled Unholy Alliance that would, among other additions, finally bring in the heavily fan-wanted co-op (in a local sense) where another player can inhabitant the role of the The Goat -- a critter borne of corruption harbouring a darkness even our beloved The Lamb seems weary of. Check out the reveal trailer:
In addition to the new playable character, Massive Monster is also promising new Tarot cards, new co-operative-powered mini games or mini games with slight twists, new weapons (with the ability to swap with your co-op partner within dungeons), new curses and new relics among much, much more. And it's an entirely free update coming to all playable platforms this August 12.
