Welcome to 3rd-Phase Boss - A Quick Guide to Who and What we are!
UPDATE: We're aware of a few elements in need of fixing, such as navigation inside each vertical when tracking specific article types between News, Reviews and Features. This is being addressed as we speak, and while the review content right now is lite-on, please be aware this was based on a blown-out finish line where we had to pick what to work on. Rest assured, there's review and features content well and truly in the pipeline from all three verticals and we are confirmed across a number of big AAA titles right through to indies and in between, so stay tuned as we are building, and building fast!
ORIGINAL POST: If you've stumbled across our site in the past week or so, chances are you've already checked out our About Us page, but if not, here's the lowdown.
3rd-Phase Boss is the brainchild of gaming industry veterans Stephen Farrelly and Kosta Andreadis -- former editors over at the awesome-but-now-quite-old AusGamers. After years of service there, we felt it was time to become our own publisher and launch an entirely new platform (wholly owned by us). What you're seeing on the site now is just early days stuff, we'll be going hell for leather on the content front, it's just been an uphill battle getting this thing right, and there's still some elements left to implement, but as it currently sits we're happy with it in a way we feel we can launch, make ourselves known and grow from here.
You might find some old articles, or a lacking manifest of reviews... a lot of the reasoning around that was because we've been in development so long, some titles are just too old to feature front and centre. We've got a list, however, and we're powering through them from a relevancy perspective so bear with us.
Where we feel we differ from other platforms in these spaces, though, is in our merch offering. We're working closely with local or formerly local artists who work in and around gaming and pop culture to create bespoke pieces just for us, to offer to you. And it's honestly one of the most exciting prospects from a growth area for us and is something we're very invested in from a quality and brand-building perspective.
While you're here you might see the Sign In/Create Account button -- that's actually for our store at the moment. We have a built-in Comments section that doesn't require an account that we'll be moderating early as we build into things, and though we require email and usernames, none of that info goes anywhere beyond us making sure you're real. So, please feel free to Comment and engage, because we want to hear from you.
We're super excited for this next chapter in our professional careers and we hope you jump on board with us. And keep checking back as this new frontier will grow with unique content, new merch and more as we start to establish ourselves out in the wild!
Lots of love, the 3rd-Phase Boss team <3
