Hisense Joins "This is an Xbox" Slogan via Select Panels

Another set of devices makes themselves available for Xbox players...

(formerly VIDAA and not the energy drink) has forged a partnership with Microsoft to bring the Xbox app to select Hisense and V homeOS panels in 2026. This partnership continues the reach and growth of the Xbox's virtual console/platform to as many devices as it can, with the promise to feature Game Pass in all sub formats with games obviously being played through Xbox Cloud Gaming.

No official word on exactly when in 2026 this will be happening, but as CES 2026 takes hold of the news wire, we suspect this won't be too far away for punters.

"The integration of the Xbox app on V devices transforms the TV into a powerful gaming hub," said Guy Edri, CEO of V. "We're proud to bring the Xbox's legendary game catalogue to V users around the world. This launch embodies what V stands for -- premium experiences that are fast, simple and globally accessible."

With many homes in Australia currently enjoying slightly faster speeds thanks to NBN's "Accelerate Great" upgrade, the time to utilise your smart device as a virtual platform is now fairly bankable, particularly for games not requiring consistent speeds for multiplayer.

Once we know when this will be in full swing for V and Hisense TV and panel owners, we'll update this news item.
