ACER Reveals New Gaming Laptops Powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 Processors

Here's a couple of new gaming and creator options to consider in the new year packing some serious GPU power!

At this year's CES Acer revealed its newest gaming laptops in both the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI and the Nitro V 16 AI with the former announced to be releasing in Q2 of 2026, but with a "TBA" attached to the latter, though we still got some meaty details around both machines.

First up, the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI (pictured below) comes packed with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, while the GPU is a not-so-standard-tey GeForce RTX 5070 specifically crafted for laptops (largely because it needs to fit into the 18.9mm metal casing of the device). This is all handled by NVIDIA Blackwell which is the tech giant's next-generation GPU architecture and is strongly focused on AI scaling for speed, reliability, learning and more. Being a 50 series GPU, the Helios also takes advantage of NVIDIA DLSS 4 and other image enhancements at speeds it's best not to try and think about, from a computing level.

Helios also displays via a 16-inch WQXGA OLED panel, while its memory features 64GB DDR5 6400MT/s with up to 2TB of PCIe storage. All of this is cooled internally by a 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan and liquid metal thermal grease. Other additions include a FHD IR webcam, DTS:X Ultra speakers, Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. You also get ubiquitous I/O ports for additional peripherals and display options.

In short, it's a bit of a caged beast and while we're not on the ground at the show to take it for a spin, its overall specs are fairly enticing and comes with an SRP in Australia starting at $3599 dollarydoos.

The Nitro V 16 AI sports an Intel Core Ultra 7 and the same NVIDIA Laptop GPU as the Helios. This slightly less powerful machine features up to 32GB DDR5 RAM as well as 2TB of SSD storage. It also features the same audio and webcam features as the Helios, but as such is geared a bit more towards the content creator end of things, though with a 5070 running the GPU show, it's also still something of a gaming beast. Check it out below:

As mentioned above, there's still a "TBA" surrounding the Nitro in terms of availability and pricing, but we'd expect it to be somewhat less than the Helios, but that's not confirmed... just our guess.

We'll try and get hands-on with these through the year for review purposes, so keep an eye out across the site as we nab what we can to tell you how they run and perform.
