Fallout Season 2 Trailer - New Vegas, Civil War, Deathclaws, and Macaulay Culkin
Amazon and Prime Video’s follow-up to its entertaining and impressive first season of the live-action Fallout adaptation just got a full trailer ahead of its December 17 debut. Based on the popular post-apocalyptic RPG games created by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, and popularized by Bethesda as fully 3D open-world titles, the show's second season sees part of the action move to the setting of New Vegas.
That won’t be a surprise to anyone who watched the first season, as it ended with protagonists Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell) and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) heading off to the iconic location from 2010’s Fallout: New Vegas on the trail of Hank MacLean, Lucy’s father and former Overseer of Vault 33. Fans of the Fallout games will definitely get a kick out of Season 2’s full trailer as it includes several nods to the game, including some very cool cameos.
With one of these being a quick glimpse of Justin Theroux as Mr House, as well as our first proper look at New Vegas’ The Strip location. There’s also a full (and menacing) body shot of a Deathclaw charging toward Brotherhood of Steel Knight, Maximus (Aaron Moten). Plus, we see Lucy wield the game’s most popular melee weapon, the Power Fist. We also get to hear what sounds like Ron Perlman, the narrator of the Fallout games, deliver a rendition of “there’s a war coming.”
As for the fun stuff, we get to see what looks like a pack of Elvis impersonators, as well as a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance by Macaulay Culkin of Home Alone fame, all grown up and joining the cast this season. Either way, it will be interesting to see how Fallout Season 2’s take on New Vegas fits into the Fallout lore and timeline as it takes place a full 15 years after the events of Fallout: New Vegas.
Check it out.
