Chad Drake is an Oslo-based Aussie with an extensive graphic design background and catalogue. Having worked across many forms of print, digital and moving image, he brings a wide-eye to the art landscape, while also injecting a keen sense of design to proceedings, often resulting in sharp, succinct and bold results. Chad's other passions include travel, cooking (like, high-end) and grooming his glorious beard. He's an avid gamer whose faves include The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Dead Space (in fact, most horror), Super Meat Boy and Street Fighter II among many others.
Chad Drake, aka @CDrakeDraws, is an Aussie expat living and working out of Oslo, Norway. Chad has been an intrinsically-linked member of the Swear Jar Editorial & Media and 3rd-Phase Boss team for a number of years, which made him the perfect artist to kick off our bespoke merch program with.
Chad's illustrative work finds its way out of a deep passion for pop culture and blurring lines between homage and the outlandish. In days gone by he's produced album covers for metal outfits, major festival posters and booklets, co-launched a tee brand with us here at Swear Jar Editorial & Media titled FYF and has dabbled in concept art for game development, comic book illustration and more. In Norway he works as a graphic designer creating sharp and eye-catching packaging designs for Pakhaus. He loves life in Scandinavia but dearly misses the sun. When he's not designing or illustrating, he works with his partner on his first cookbook with his startup cooking platform titled tuckeroslo. that is slowly building a dedicated viewership.
